Botanical garden is based on drawings and archival documents of Zrinski with a rich collection of old varieties of flowers, ornamental shrubs and medicinal plants.

The Zrinski family marked the development of Medžimurje in all segments, including in agriculture. The Zrinski family's family garden was full of various ornamental and nutritional plants from the entire region, and the garden was the center of knowledge of fruit growing, vegetable and floriculture.With the reconstruction of the botanical garden, according to the drawings and archival documents of the Zrinski, which are kept in the Medimurje Museum, you will get to know the forgotten plants of our elderly. The location of the garden is on the historical site of the original garden of the family Zrinski and is located on the road between the Zrin castle in Čakovec and the church of St. Jelena in Šenkovac, which was connected with the tunnel under the garden.
